The listing, RETURN TO TIFFANY & CO NEW YORK 925 STERLING SILVER HEART TAG CHARM BRACELET GREAT CONDITION 1990 !! has ended.
This auction is for an AUTHENTIC sterling silver Tiffany & Co. heart tag charm bracelet. The bracelet is approx 7.5 inches long. It is made entirely from sterling silver, and it is something you can take somewhere to get engraved on the back if you wish. This bracelet was originally obtained in March of 1990. I took some random jewelry to be appraised and this one was in the mix. It was appraised for 200$-300$. New ones sell on the Tiffany's website for 275$ This one is in great condition, but not MINT. Still, very good condition and it has been professionally cleaned.
I will ship for FREE to anywhere in the US. Shipping out side of the US will 6$ flat rate. If you have any questions, feel free to ask! Satisfaction is guaranteed, what ya see is what ya get in this auction! .
Questions & Comments
I have a Tiffany & Co... check the website n u will see.
Yes, by all means please ignore the rude people on here asking questions about your item. Even though in the ad it says "please ask if you have any questions". I was being extremely rude by asking you anything about this bracelet. Heaven forbid I deny someone the chance to spend 50,000 credits on something they THINK is genuine, AS STATED in the ad.
Snowjay27, I never called you rude or anything like that... However, you are telling me that my listing is "fraud and misrepresentation." I know for a fact that it is sterling silver, and as I said before, the jeweler that looked at it said it IS authentic, but an older version. He said that these bracelets have been around since at least the 70s. I obtained the bracelet in the early 90s. While he cannot give an exact age on it, he did say the fact that the links are the way that they are shows that it is an older one. He also said that it IS indeed sterling silver, and that most people who make cheap knockoffs don't use sterling silver. I did check the links and I don't see any stamps, but like I stated previously, I was also told that they did not stamp them back then. I have absolutely no problems answering questions that are asked, and I am in no way trying to misrepresent the item. I have told people what I know, and will continue to honestly answer questions that are asked of me.
Couple of things; I see your new to Listia, so first of all welcome. If you read the rules and guidelines posted by Listia you can not state something is genuine when it is not. Its called fraud and misrepresentation. If you are not sure just say Tiffany look alike or something along those lines. With that said can you please tell me if one of the links on the chain itself is stamped with the Tiffany and Co. Logo? That is one way to tell if it is genuine or not. I can already tell you it doesn't. The one dead giveaway that this is fake is the link that holds the charm. Genuine Tiffany sauters (sp?) their links. You will never, ever see a gap on a link, especially where the charm is held. Look it up on you tube or google it.
She has already said she will provide prove of authenticity of this item. I know she is new but I hate when people assume things are fake. Seriously move on!!
@Fabmom, thanks for defending me. I honestly almost held this auction back until I had a better reputation built, I know in the end I will probably pay for it in lack of bids, but ah oh well at least someone will get a good deal :). Like I said in my previous message, I know what the jeweler told me, and can get a letter from him if the winner wants that. I am not trying to screw anyone over. It IS 100% sterling silver, that I know for sure. So for 5,000 listia credits (which I am lead to believe that 300-400 translates to roughly 1 US dollar, and in some cases lower) My starting bid price is pretty dang good.
how long is the chain itself? I have big wrists and want to make sure it will fit me :) welcome to Listia and don't let any rude or negative comments affect how you feel about the site .... there are a ton of great people on here!! F&W
No problem. If they don't want to bid & you have said it is authentic they shouldn't comment. Don't worry you will get bids usually happens the last hours of an auction!!
The engraving on your return to tiffany bracelet should be completely and totally sharp and clear to read. Also, Tiffany uses a very thin font, if the font on your piece is wide, or if it's unclear or looks sub-par, (ALL TOGETHER NOW)... IT'S NOT TIFFANY!!
It is a fake, a good fake. I sell Tiffany and Co and you can tell by the links. The lobster clasp on a Tiffany bracelet or necklace will show EXCELLENT workmanship, if it looks like it's a cheapie, it's not Tiffany. In fact, the entire piece should be heavy and feel SOLID in your hand. Also, here's a little secret, the lobster clasp will ALSO be stamped 925, at the base of the clasp.
First, the engraved heart tag necklaces WILL NOT have 925 at the bottom, it will be at the very top of the bail, and it will be small. The top part of these tags will have a large loop for the chain to go through. The older lifesaver tag necklaces will not be engraved. NO MATTER WHAT, IT WILL ALWAYS BE MARKED ON THE BACK. So ask for photos of the back of the tag to be sure.
Also, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER buy Tiffany jewelry from someone who keeps their feedback private!! That can be a HUGE red flag that they're selling fakes, or have something to hide.
And there should be no spaces within the links like this one has. I got scammed once and then sold it. I had to refund the money and she is in Australia.
The links on any tiffany tag bracelet or tag necklace are NOT pinched together, they are soldered together and very smooth. You almost can't tell where the link begins or ends.
We are not being rude, we are just educating you. I lost lots of money by selling a fake on Etsy. I learned what to look for and what I posted here is from ebay of how to spot a Tiffany and Co fake. They make them really well but cannot replacate a real Tiff & Co.
Just a recap on that last commenter...you know what a fake looks like because you used to sell tiffany & co?..but then you got scammed & sold someone a fake???? & all the tips you gave are fr ebay, concluding obviously that you really don't know the difference.smh, dont let these ignorant people break you girl! When I go to the store, I pay the cashier for the items I want, I dont sit there & give all the reasons why I am not interested in or do not want to buy some merchandise. Does that make any sense to anybody?
F & W. Something I do when i come across a piece of jewelry take it the jeweler to authenticate in writing that the bracelet is a real Tiffany & Co. You could get a certificate of authenticity, may cost but at least you would have it
Hiya, I checked the back of the heart and it is not stamped with it like some of the newer ones are, but as I said, it is an older one and I am told they did not stamp them back then. I haven't checked the links of the chain though. I am not home at the moment, but will be home tomorrow morning and I will check as soon as I get home!!
I am new, I am not intending to misrepresent anything. The price I started this for is PENNIES to what it is really worth. I have told you what I know, and what I can provide from the jeweler that looked at it. He said this is an older one and that is why it is the way that it is.
