When I was a teenager my mother gave me this recipe book for Christmas 1986, that my Grandmother's church made and was selling to help the church funds. Inside were a ton of recipes from the ladies of the church. Good, old fashioned, southern recipes that have been handed down through the family for generations. Some may be modern for the time period when it was published but most are family heirlooms. My grandmother, herself, had plenty of recipes in this book. It is a cherished part of my recipe collection because it contains a piece of my grandmother. The church was Danville Baptist Church in Rienzi Mississippi. This recipe comes from that collection and was submitted by Vera Hall.
