Hi Joseph, Welcome to Listia...Yeah the whole dollar to credit thing is kinda confusing, even when you been here for a while, But you cannot go by what listia sells credits for, if you read about the buying of credits, its not there to supply use with credits, but a option to get a little extra if you are in the heat of an auction and come up short, so they take advantage of the fact that a lot us just hate to lose...lol..I have paid more than retail because of that ..Because you buy the credit to help win an auction, but if you do and you still lose the auction, Listia will give you a full refund. think it take their normal 5 days to do anything, but its true, they will give your money back. That really impressed me. But you see that iis not the value of the credit. How most come up with value was off what listia sells gift cards in the rewards, or at least thats how I did, the would have say a walmart $50 card priced at 50k in credits, thus, the $1=1K is arrived at. But that dont go true for people who sell gift card on listia, I know because I do that now too, you get almost 15%-30% more credits to cash.and that is accepted by most Listians, well of course not new members who have heard of The $1=1k.
But the credit doesnt have a true marked in stone value, we cant trade it for money, CG is the closest we can. This site is base on getting things for free, which is hard to swallow at first, but you first have to understand that how this really all works is by auctioning off stuff you you dont want, meaning it has no value to you anymore and want to give it away, but to who? to the person That gives you the most valueless credits. Thus getting it for free, because you won the position of being the one who receives what is being given away...

Part 2..I just don't get it, there isn't other sites like this one, why do all these people come on to it to try to ruin a good thing? Those people, Dark, are the Dumb@sses to me. And there's nothing wrong with buying credit, it's actually a cool option to help you get a bid on something you want, but are short a little, yeah its never was set to out right buy credit, that's why the pric is so jacked, even with the so called discount, you do know they will refund your money back to you if you buy credits from listia and make a bid with them but still lose..full refund. And thats how it is suppose to be used. It is confusing to new member when they try to put a value on the credit, trust me I wish we all get on the same page on this matter, because I go by the 1k = $1..its easy to figure and remember and a lot of members also use it. But I don't think just because you or anyone for that matter that has found their way in here, should be calling a new member a moron just because they don't understand yet.
