Description
The listing, SIMULATED ALEXANDRITE RING **JUNE BIRTHSTONE** has ended.
***GORGEOUS RING*** size 8, but seems I didn't realize the size I really wear, it keeps falling off. This is a new simulated alexandrite, June birthstone. When I purchased it the ad said it is 18K white gold overlay. I will not swear to that tho. I can't see any markings on the inside of the ring. I will ship this out to the winner on Monday Jan., 17th- weather permitting. ***SORRY, NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING***
A true Alexandrite changes color depending on the lighting. It changes from light pink, to blueish, to kind of a green purple color. Very Beautiful, and very distinguishable. This is a nice auction though
There are actually different shades of alexandrite. Pink is one, purple and there is even a light bluish color. The most popular of all alexandrite is the color change alexandrite, but that is also the most expensive alexandrite there is. There is tons of info if you google it. This alexandrite actually has a pinkish shine inside the stone, but it is more on the side of a purple pinkish. In the right lighting this stone will also appear blue. It took me tons of pictures to get the purple hues to come out on this stone. Most were a brilliant blue hue.
I didn't know that...I figured sterling silver couldn't be sized either...but since it can...that is great news! Thank you as well for the info. Nice ring cherrycla! I hope the bid goes high for you! :-)
********this is information I found online about resizing rings of any type******** http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1336247/can_a_sterling_silver_ring_be_resized.html?cat=46
Resizing a ring can be done with most metals. Gold is popular for resizing. Along with the sterling silver can be resized to fit a person's finger. The process for resizing can be done at most jewelers.
if you copy and paste that URL in your address bar it will take you to this site. What I put down was only the first paragraph. It tells a lot about having rings, most metals, re-sized.
This is the perfect ring for me! Although I may have to get it sized alot smaller! Im a June baby and its hard to find nice jewelry for my birthstone!!!!
