Hi; my husband is a coin dealer and is getting out of the business because of health issues, the price he has on his coins is what he sells them for, but according to cointracker.com the 49 Franklin Half is somewhere in the range of $15 for one in poor condition and one in perfect condition $125 and up? Of course any coin is worth what someone is willing to pay for it,
Great Franklin! Nice Strike!! I think easily worth more than the tag price on the coin holder. Many people only look at prices in say the red book and should be checking several sources. Most serious collectors and dealers consult the Grey Sheet (weekly price guide) for current prices. Be watching this one.
Thanks for your kind words, I try to check several sources on price, we get the L&C coin book also have the older Red Book since my hubby is a collector and seller, I find it funny that some take offense to coins I put up for auction that have a price on them, seems they forget they are not spending any money to get it and with free shipping thrown in I don't see the problem?
