It's a hank of light blue and a hank of pink luxury yarn. The company is called Whipple's Whimsy. Treat yourself to the fantastic feel of cashmere! I'm new to it too is there a big difference between knitting & crocheting?

you can use the same kind of yarn, the difference is that crocheting looks different than knitting, and its done differently, and with a crochet hook instead of knitting needles. I dont crochet, but many can knit and crochet.

its not a stupid question, if the yarn is in a ball, its a skein, if its long and /or twisted, its a hank. Good luck, and enjoy learning to knit, I prefer the luxury yarn myself. Thanks for being part of my auction.

it means its not new, they recycled it from a cashmere sweater, and made it into hanks, otherwise nothing is wrong with it.
