I have NEVER grown a pumpkin. We live in Northern VA outside Wash., DC so it's nice weather , even hotttttt all through most of October even...can I grow these? What is ideal soil type and do they need full sun/shade or what? Thanks and sorry to ask so many questions but you seem like the expert! Lol

when you get the seeds...soak well in water...then germinate in a paper towel in real warm inside a tuperware container...dark and warm...when they pop...put them in gentle soil...cant be crappy soil...no weeds or other grass stuff around...the will take off..after a few weeks...fertilize
