The camera runs off an infoLithium battery so all you have to do is connect it to the charger. There's no need to worry about remembering to bring extra batteries everywhere you go. The camera will also record short MPEG movies. It is 3.2 mega pixels with 3x optical zoom. With this camera you will also be receiving the Sony Cybershot case, cable to connect the camera to your computer, the charger, and 3 memory sticks. Two memory sticks are 32 MB and the other is 16 MB. This camera has lasted me several years. I love Sony because they have good quality, long-lasting items.
