Description

The listing, 20 Micron Gold Link Men's Bracelet made in Switzerland+ has ended.

I listed this in jewelry, but I believe it may be a collector's item and vintage.

It is Gold plated and 20 microns has something to do with how heavy the plate is. I looked it up a while ago but forgot. If you Google it, I am sure you will find out more details.+

I do remember that it is an expensive gold plated bracelet.

It is in great condition, still shiny and no wear.

It is marked "MADE IN SWITZERLAND", "PLAQUE ORL 20 MICRONS" with what I believe is a maker's mark next to it. And last marking is "PAT-PENDING"

If you are interested in a GIN, please email me a quote. Do not leave in comments, I will not respond.

Shipping is free, but do to a busy schedule, I only ship on Saturdays.

Thank you.

Is it a true gold color? In the pic it looks a bit brassy but I know pics aren't always on the mark.

Oh. Okay I understand. Still, I think brass looks like gold. And I guess it looks like brass but is truly gold plated. And a thick more expensive plate at that. I found prices for between$50 and $177 on eBay and Etsy. I couldn't find the exact style though.

Anyway as I said in my email, gold is mixed with other metals so the color of gold can go across a wide spectrum of color. I won a ring on here a little while ago and the color looked almost like a copper penny. I took it to a jeweler and they confirmed it was 10k gold.

What is the length of it? What size I mean?

Oh I forgot to put that. I will have to check when I get home.

Can you check to see if a magnet sticks to it too?

I almost forgot! It is 7" and it does stick to a magnet. It really is plated. Sorry, not solid. :\

How did you measure the bracelet? With a seamstress' tape when it was closed? If not, could you re measure?
Oct 25th, 2014 at 11:50:45 AM PDT by
Original
No. I can Closed it is 4" with the measuring tape. I tried it with my ruler too and it was a little shorter. Do you know why there is a difference?
Oct 25th, 2014 at 6:59:09 PM PDT by
Original
You need to measure with the tape from
a single point on the inside of the bracelet all the way around the inside to the same point. That measurement would be the true size in inches.
Oct 25th, 2014 at 10:06:50 PM PDT by
Original
That measurement would give you the inner circumference, or, the bracelet size in inches.
Oct 26th, 2014 at 1:13:32 PM PDT by
Original
Wait, the inner circumference? Or do you mean diameter? If that is what you meant, I didn't measure the diameter. I have never been asked that and I haven't seen anyone ask that at an auction. This auction isn't for mathematicians. Just find a string a measure it to 7.5 or 8 in and wrap it around your wrist.

Original
Sounds confusing. A 7.5 would be live and an 8 would be great, I think I'll bid a few credits because the math thus far will let it.

Thanks for your help. F&W&B.
