The listing, 80GB Hitachi HDD has ended.

Taken out of a Dell Inspiron 1526. Windows XP Installed. Got this from a laptop I upgraded for a friend. I do not know if it has been wiped clean or not.

Like I said it was working when I upgraded her pc. It has never gotten wet and as far as I know it has never been dropped. When I get a chance, I will put it in my PC and wipe it clean. TY

Just some random information. This is a sata II drive, so will not work in an IDE laptop. There are two physical sizes of Sata drives, the thin and the fat. This drive is the thin and fits in 92% of laptops. All laptop drives are 2.5" wide, while desktop drives are 3.5", while cd drives are 5.25" in desktop. Hope this helps at least one person.

I am sorry for who ever might have bid on this item. I just put it in my laptop to wipe clean and it tells me it has bad sectors in 600+. This basically means the hard drive is not any good. Who ever wins I will refund your credits immediately. I do not know what happened, it was working fine when I took it out. Not sure what has happened since it has been in my computer room with other hard drives and laptops I am repairing. Again I am very sorry for this.

I found another one and it has been wiped clean. It is still an 80 gb Hard drive. Every thing is working and is the way it should be. thanks

Yes it is Identical. Hitachi 80 gb SATA 5400 rpms I have wiped it clean and it is ready to be installed.
