The Ply of the yarn to me is equivalent to working with a light sports weight/baby weight yarn

50 grams of yarn in each skein = aprox. 165 Yards

5 stitches = 1 inch on #6 needles

The tag says "Dry Clean Only", but I've made many items (scarves, mittens, hats etc.) with this lovely yarn and I easily hand wash the articles in cold water and dry flat on a towel on the top of the dryer and each article turns out perfectly well.
