Finally starting my cosmetics collection for my future (hopefully will have it soon!) vanity-set, so I can practice trying to make myself look pretty. My padre has always told me that my mom was an amazingly talented beautician/licensed cosmetologist- It may sound so silly, but I actually want to do the same thing.. not only for a hobby, but in her memory too.. that way I can feel like we're still connected to each other in some way.

Wow - it sounds like you lost your mother - mine died when I was 11 and my dad when I was 28. I know what you mean about feeling connected to her - it is not silly - I have kept everything I've found that has my parents' handwriting on it, even little notes!
