Description
The listing, 8X10 Original Pencil Drawing of Kate Bosworth has ended.
This is an original drawing done by me of the actress Kate Bosworth. I am cleaning out my portfolio and this was towards the back. It was done in 2005 so it's about 6 years old. It is clean and has been sprayed with a fixative to prevent smudging and preserve the quality. It feels and looks more like a sketch to me compared to my other work, but I loved the brightness and simplicity of it. Even if you're not a fan of hers or don't know who she is it's still a great portrait. If you would like to see more of my work you can visit my website at theartofjes dot com. Thanks for looking! Questions & Comments
I was an animator for Disney for years so the hard lines are in my bones now XD
oh yea i saw that in your description. that must have been such a great job! I'm just starting to teach myself to draw more illustrated drawings, but I'm still a beginner when it comes to cartooning. I would love to be able to draw my own original characters and such.
Beautiful Piece!! I appreciate realistic portrait sketches. They are my passion! I will be checking out your site. I am looking for ways to get my Sketches out there too. Please take a look at the two i have posted here, Id love your feed back.
Thanks! I'm actually not really lol. Like I said in my description this is more sketchy compared to my more recent work. I've greatly improved since this drawing was done and my style is more realistic. You can go to my website and check out my other stuff. www.theartofjes.com
aww thanks! One of my #1 rules even with my more recent drawings is to try not to show any lines especially with faces and bodies since we don't have lines in real life. Just something i try to keep in mind.
That's true. I'm pretty sure I can get the hang of it, but it's hard to find the time. I do my commissions at night when my two kids are in bed. The only time I get any work done lol. But I should make more time during the day to practice for sure. We have drawing time but I spend most of that time monitoring crayon colors and making sure markers don't end up being used on the wall lol
I love this, would you consider free shipping to canada aswell? you are an amazing artist. will definetly be looking at you site, and maybe ask for a sketch? these would make great gifts for christmas.
Thank you! I'm sorry, but since I offer free shipping I don't ship international. I suppose if you're willing to pay I can do that and figure out the costs. I just prefer to keep it simple with Listia. On my website I do charge a flat rate shipping & handling of $10 which should cover international costs. If you're still interested in commissioning me for a drawing I would be happy to work with you :)
Aw thanks! I am definitely trying to get myself out there for sure. I was once a "closet artist" for a while until I started getting some great feedback and useful criticism in school. It really helps if you can take the good with the bad you know? Art is so subjective that you can't take everything personal. Anyway I'll stop before I start ranting about eye of the beholder and all that lol. I love looking at new art so if you ever want to share some of yours just message me!
