are they mostly "common" cards or are there inserts , jerseys, etc.

Mostly common. but there are a few rookie cards. Tell you what if the bids get over 2000 I'll throw in A Classic Rendition of Peyton Manning, Lendale White Class of 2006 , a Matt Leinart Rookie card, and a Reggie Bush rookie card. AND possible a jersey card.

But there are some old cards in here. I'm not a football card buff so there are a lot of older players that I could have missed in the box.
