New never used. Have a couple. Designed to keep kids from spilling bowls of snacks on the floor. Mine kept dropping the entire thing so I gave up and this is an extra.
I think this was an as seen on TV thing first. Could also be used for other people with trouble holding items. My bro in law has brain damage and disabled and shakes a lot this helps him from spilling cereal and snacks on the floor. But the opening is small to so keep that that in mind. It hold s just a handful or two of snacks
