About Libby Edelman.... There once was a girl who grew up in the country. She dreamed of being a princess, a ballerina, a veterinarian, or maybe even the president. As she got older, she found herself drawn to her mother’s closet and loved to try on everything… especially the beautiful shoes. And so her passion for fashion was born.

One day, true love found her… and he designed magnificent women’s shoes. Soon they designed shoes together and had three wonderful children. Her life became crazy-busy… dropping kids off at school, going to the office, rushing to soccer games, attending fashion events, buying groceries, cooking meals, helping with homework, sharing her day with her husband, and finally dropping into bed… exhausted. She couldn’t imagine a more perfect life. Except for one thing: her shoes.

She started to dream about designing shoes to fit her crazy lifestyle and her life-long passion for fashion. They had to be comfortable enough to get her through her day, but also have a flash of fashion. So she used her years of design experience to translate the fashion runway into reality for real women with real lives—just like hers. And so the libby. edelman brand was created.
