This is a wonderful little tin features portraits of a light skinned Negro couple with their hair slicked down with Sweet Georgia Brown Pomade. The graphics are Exquisite! Produced originally in the 1930's, Tin is empty now but once contained enough hair dressing pomade (hair grease) for one application. It was intended as an advertising sample. The instructions for use are written on the back of the tin.

This product was used exclusively by African Americans to straighten and hold down hair.
