It works with both. I was using batteries all of the time, but there is a DC connection for a power supply.

No, it's in perfect condition. This player does have the anti-skip function.

No power cord. However it's that "old school" connection that was used forever. I used cords from cordless phones to video games, as long as they are the same voltage.
