FREE: Vintage Italian Inlaid/Overlaid Wooden Jewelry Box

This is a pretty Sorrento ware box, inlaid/overlaid with intricate designs on the top and all four sides. The lacquer is so deep, I can't tell if it is inlaid or overlay. The lacquer is incredibly shiny and in perfect condition. When it is unfolded, it is unbelievably beautiful.

It has a hinged lid, and a lock, but no key. It has a wind up musical movement, but I don't know the tune.

The inside is lined in the base with plush red fabric, and there is a small mirror inside the lid.

There is a dancing lady, in her original dress, that twirls and bobs up and down as the music plays.

It is in fairly good condition, but the lady has suffered a little damage, she has lost her upraised hand.

I purchased this at an estate sale and was told it was Black Forest, but it is not marked, and is very similar to Italian boxes on ebay. You decide.

It measures 24cm (9.5 inches) x 14cm (5.5 inches) x 11cm (4.4 inches).
