I have here a 28 inch ( PLUS) Cloisonné Necklace in Blue
with white flowers. Cloisonné is a very old Venetian art
form dating back to the 16oo hundreds. This art form became hugely popular again in the mid to late 1800's.
This art is like making trenches out of gold or silver and filling these trenches with enamel to make a design. The
Chinese also did a like art as well as the French. As free
trade spread thru out the world....women wanted and loved this style. This necklace has a style and type of clasp that dates to the late 1880's to 1920's. When women of this time wore there necklaces long. Like flappers and the Victorians. Thank you for looking.
