It is a great read, bro. I think that you will enjoy these books. It all starts when the magicians guild goes out to do their yearly purge(getting rid of the rift raft in the city) and so happens that a young lady is looking around town for some place to live for herself and her aunt and uncle when she runs into some guys she use to hang out with and these guys decide that they are going to rebel against the purge by causing trouble for the magicians in doing that they decide they are going to throw stones at them but they have a barrier up so no stones can get through but the girl concentrates really hard and throws the stone and it passes through the barrier and from there it begins.
