The listing, ~*~Rare Larimar Gem Stone Bracelet w/Aquamarine Color Enhanced Crystals~*~ has ended.

There is beauty in simplicity. This lovely OOAK bracelet is my latest creation. The Larimar stones are a rare find and look wonderful with the color enhanced crystals and the silver in the bracelet. This would make a wonderful gift!
**It's 10 inches in total length and 8.5 inches to the second to last blue crystal bead. I will shorten it upon request for the winning bidder or it could even be worn as a very cool anklet. =)

Larimar has been called the Atlantis Stone. Psychic Edgar Cayce (1877-1945) predicted the discovery of a blue stone that had Atlantean origins. He said it was to be found on "an island in the Caribbean" and was to have extraordinary healing attributes. Almost 30 years later Larimar was discovered and in metaphysical circles, is purported to increase speech and communication skills as well as support the body's healing process.

Thank you, Michele. I hadn't heard of it until fairly recently. The colors are wonderful to work with. Some of the stones have browns and tans mixed in with the different shades of blue and green. Reminds me of watercolors....very pretty. I'll be using this stone in earrings soon. =)

Thank you. Sometimes the more you know about a stone, the more you can appreciate it. I like to know it's metaphysical properties though I don't always add that detail in my listings. I don't know much of anything about diamonds but I can still appreciate them..lol. =)

that's got me thinking. does that mean that all "gems" from china is not actually "genuine"? or does this just pertain to larimar? y'know how tanzanite is ONLY from one place in the world- so you know it's fake if it's not from there.

No, China does have gem stone dealers that sell real natural gem stones but I've run across a few sellers that paint or dye their items and try to pass them off as something else. Read the listings closely and if it's been "color enhanced" or messed with in any way, the listing should say that but that isn't always the case.

No, I don't do that. I check them under a magnifying glass which I use a lot when I'm making jewelry. I figure they go through plenty of torture while I'm working on them =)
