Description

The listing, NWOT COACH Soho DUFFLE SUEDE BUCKLE FLAP CrossBody Messenger Tan BAG Purse Handbag has ended.

Authentic Coach red suede crossbody or shoulder bag

This bag is new--the only thing missing is the price tag--and I found part of the price tag inside the back pocket!

Has a long shoulder strap
Has brass-tone coach embossed buckle in the front and hardware
Has a magnetic snap closure
Has a back, outside slip pocket.
Inside is lined with signature coach fabric.
No inner pockets. Has a brown leather hangtag
Measures about 9" x 8"
The drop, as shown, is 19" and you can expand it another 12", at least

This is a beautiful suede bag and would make a lovely gift, also!
My pictures are pretty accurate, as to the color
Questions & Comments

I normally comment on fake COACH auctions but after reading a bunch of nonsense, I just had to voice my opinion.

First and foremost, this is an AUTHENTIC COACH! Yes, on smaller bags/accessories, COACH may not include a creed. And sometimes if there is a patch, a creed serial number may not be included. Yes, they are also moving away from the patch and instead are now implementing small tags with the serial numbers - typically on the interior seams. And finally yes, there are COACH bags that do have the Signature "C"s on their lining. However, if the exterior has the Signature "C" design, the interior WILL NOT. And vice versa. It's one or the other - exterior OR interior, but never both (except on possibly the patchwork design and even then, that's rare.) But most importantly, you don't just rely on one aspect to determine the authenticity, to have to look at many factors - the hardware, the seams, the trim, the lining and yes, the creed patch. Therefore, those that may have any doubts, rest assured this is in fact AUTHENTIC!! In addition, this seller is a valuable asset to Listia as she offers many wonderful items at unbelievable starting bids! One would be so lucky to win her auctions - I have yet to be so lucky however!

Thanks so much for taking the time out of your day to write. I really appreciate it. I wanted to say these same things but I didn't know how to put it. Besides, I was feeling pretty bummed about this auction. I never can figure out if they are serious or if they are just trying to mess with my auction. People seem to believe everything that they read..like the lady who put the eBay link in...one paragraph and suddenly she's an expert! Lol. I've gotten plenty of good information from the purse ladies on eBay and I've read numerous articles about Coach on the internet. Some of the articles are great..some are nonsense. You really have to do your research on these bags..and even then..you can be fooled. I've been fooled before and I'm very cautious, these days. The best way is to take lots of clear pictures. The people that know Coach bags like you, won't be fooled by these negative comments but the people that don't know, might be too apprehensive to bid. I guess that is the whole point, isn't it? Anyway, you certainly brightened up my day. Most of the people that comment on my auctions are as nice as they can be..I can't waste my time on the others..thanks for making me remember that! Lol.

The new Coach bags do not have the number on the creed, but you will Inow find it on a small tag sewn in the zippered pocket inside the bag. Hope this helps :)

Hi, yes! I remember reading about that. I had forgotten. I haven't seen a new Coach purse in quite awhile. Thanks so much for taking the time to share. I know you're pretty busy. I wonder if the tags have numbers of some sort....it will be confusing for some.

May I ask what year you purchased the bag?

You may, I purchased it this year. I do not know what year it was originally made.

That's why I posted that one...similar in size to yours. (Both are cute!)
I don't have much Coach experience as they are way out of my budget. But, boy! Do they make some lovely bags! I know how to research things though.

Yes...I'm posting a link...
Here's a lovely bag on Macy's website...

Fairly certain that it does have a creed patch but no serial number...

Great link! That is a cute bag. It's about the same size as mine. You're right, no serial number on the creed patch. Probably has a number tag in the pocket somewhere. Thanks for the info. Mistie. Nice of you.

It sure does, I have been dealing with Coach bags for ages and believe I can tell when it is fake, but sometimes it is really difficult.

It's especially hard to tell if you can't hold it in your hands. Like online buying. I've gotten to the point where I can tell a lot by the feel of a bag, but for some reason, the Dooney purses give me the most trouble.

Yes, there are a lot of smart women on there..some of them really know their Coach! I read on there a lot and sometimes will get help with authenticating a purse or finding out what the style is called.

The numbers are the same as those on the creed, just printed. A small white tag sawn into the pocket. You can't miss it when you look for it. Small bags basically do not have creeds.

Pretty sure I got a Catherine's sleep shirt from you. Love that thing! (Been known to wear it with leggings when I just wanna be comfy at home! Ha!) Have several of your current auctions on watch. :-)

There's a ton of info on the high end bags. I have researched so many that I've seen on here because I thought were cute. I've learned that a quality bag might be pricey but it will last me a lot longer than the cheapies.

I'm very much a newbie when it comes to Coach. I only own one. I got it from Listia. I'm fairly certain it is authentic.
I've done a lot of research. And I so often see people that either have no clue how to tell if it even *might* be authentic. And so many that assume that because the rule *used* to be one thing or it applies to one style, that means that a bag is a fake.

This bag is bag is very cute. Smaller than what I want but I'm watching anyway. Good luck! I think I've won a couple of your auctions and been quite pleased with my purchases.

I think you have won a couple of auctions from me! Yes, the Coach rules are confusing sometimes..and the other high-end purses. I'm glad that you do research. I also ask lots of questions! There is so much to learn--I'll never learn it all. I know ladies that have been selling Coach purses for 20 years and they still don't know it all!

Here is another link from a good article in eBay, go down to number 8
8. Credo Patch: Most COACH bags have a "serial number" stamped on the inside, on a square patch of leather sewn into the lining. Some of the smaller purses (the "clutch," the "swingpack" and the "mini") do not have a serial number. The serial number typically consists of a series of numbers or a number-and-letter combination. The last 4-5 digits of the serial number indicate the style number of the bag. Careful, though, as fake COACH bags also have a serial number - so just because the bag has a serial number does NOT mean the it is authentic.

There are a lot of out-dated articles out there about Coach handbags.
Also, do your research..I use a Google..I am constantly looking up different purses. You can't rely on one article.
I also talked to the ladies at the Coach outlet stores. They all say the same thing..Smaller Coach bags do not always have credo numbers.

Hi, there is nothing wrong with your eyes. This swingpack is one of the Coach bags that does not have a creed number. A lot of the older ones do not and a lot of the newer ones. Especially the smaller bags. I think Coach will completely eliminate the creed numbers some day. The little circle stamp is a very good indication of authenticity. It means that this was probably purchased at a store like TJ Max or a Coach outlet store. Coach does not sell "seconds". No matter where you buy them, they will be made according to Coach high standards. If you do your research, you will find many examples of this creed patch with no numbers.

I have never heard that Coach does not always give their bags a creed number. There is a very good article on eBay regarding authenticating Coach bags http://www.ebay.com/.../How-to.../10000000178528902/g.html

A lot of people say that. I have read it in lots of other auctions as well. A lot of people think that if they read one article, that it's the absolute truth. You have do to your research and talk to the Coach store ladies. I have been researching all kinds of purses for years. coach is going away from putting the serial numbers on.this will make it harder for people to know which purses are real or not. Unless they buy it from a Coach store.....hmmmm. Maybe they are tired of missing out of all that money that they don't get when a coach product is re-sold. Anyway, I've answered your question as best I can. If you have any more questions, please private message me. That is the proper thing to do as some might think it is auction interference on your part. My Coach bag is authentic.
There are a lot of Ladies that buy and sell a Coach products on Listia. Maybe one if them will come along and help you.
