I have the 16 Disc Box Set of LOTR now and enjoy it on a marathon every now and then. Hope to enjoy this one :)

very great movie seen it twice in theaters in 3D n seen it three times on dvd would recommend to see if u have not.

I was thinking that it wouldn't be as good not in 3D, but when I watched it at home you don't miss 3D much it all. Great movie either way.

Sheesh, my brain leaves me somedays. 12 DVDs not 16. 654 minutes of movie, over 11 hours. Only 6 are the movies themselves, the other 6 are extras. There's extra footage in all 3 movies, plus a 'hidden' scene in all 3 that's just a joke scene, but hilarious. The boxes themselves are really nice, too.

But I'm really hoping to see, and have this one :)
