This will actually work from HDD to HDD on either the FAT or Slim ones

This actually only works on the older 'Fat' HDD's. It allows you to transfer all your stuff from your old 'Fat' hard drive to your new 'slim' Xbox. This basically converts your old hard drive basically to a USB drive that you can connect into your Xbox 360 Slim console and copy all your files off of it.

But yeah, it does work on both consoles as long as what's connected to it is the old 'fat' HDD.
