Questions & Comments
How is this used? Please forgive my ignorance XD I am really interested.
asking questions is never stupid, but brave. It is best used with a metal stamping block (I just used the basement floor) and a rubber mallet. You secure the charm or pendant blank to the smooth flat hard surface with 2 pieces of masking tape and make sure they are straight and level because they will also guide you in keeping your letters straight. Make sure you look at each letter before you stamp and firmly hit it 4 to 5 times gently pivoting it in every angle so you get the complete letter. It does take some practice, which is why I included the blanks. Once, you get it down you can also buy Glider's Paste which will allow the lettering to be any color you choose and show up better. I am only auctioning this because my grandparents got me an engraving pen which allows for cursive, big , or small letters or anything really. Hope I explained it well!
I believe so, I used it on different metal tone types such as silver tone and copper tone. The blocks are super thick and durable so I think if you have a stronger and thicker metal you would want to use a stronger hammer to apply more force.
I have something similar and use the aluminum dog tags to make cool tags for my scrap pages, but the tags can also make great necklaces for younger girls with words or a word on it. My friends daughter wanted one that said her cats name on it. I got the tags at Michaels.
oh yeah I have been to Michaels, and I think Joanne's not the just fabric outlets would probably have them too. I just ordered online more often because we unfortunately live in the middle of nowhere. Michaels usually has good coupons too
I am fanning you and I am watching this. I only wish I had the credits to bid on it because I would. This is a great auction. Maybe, I can get my husband to bid on it..lol
