I don't know if you received my reply regarding the clasp. It is a safety pin type and the second picture shows it. It does work. Thank you for looking.

The second pic is showing the clasp. It is the old pin type and yes it does work, just closes like a safety pin. Thank you for the inquiry.

My sister lived in the South Pacific for many years and she would send me ivory jewelry from time to time. The earrings were always marked. This piece was not. So I cannot guarantee it is ivory but from the look and feel of it, I think it is. I could take it to find out but just never questioned it. Thank you for the comment.
