I thought 4 O clocks were perennials?

I had to look it up, according to Wikipedia it's an annual that "will self-seed" easily self seeds

can be perennial if in protected spot even as cold as zone 6, but more likely in zone 8

A type of flower, it mainly grows as an annual/perennial plant - which means it can have a varying lifetime - from 1 year to several

Tubers form eventually as plant matures. They do reseed and pop up everywhere. I brought home a start a friend gave me, and like I said they pop up everywhere. I pull bunches of them up in the spring. In milder weather they come back year after year, as well as reseed.
