No, It is not Brand New. I bought it a few years back for a girlfriend of mine that was diabetic. She would often forget "her" glucometer & it would scare the crap out of me. It came with everything you see in the pictures & I just looked in the strip bottle & there are 2 left out of a whopping total of 5. It is the "trial size" that comes with the machine initially. So it was used EXACTLY 3x. The strips expire(d) 09/2006... LOL. woopsie. So I highly suggest buying new strips obviously... The thing has been packed away the rest of the time. I just thought that instead of it sitting collecting dust that maybe someone could really use it. I dont think they are that expensive anymore but if on a fixed income or maybe just as a spare to keep at a boyfriends or work ect...

i really hope i can get this. i really need it i am a diabetic without insurance so i temporarily am with out a meter which really scares me.

The brand name test strips I found on the internet for 50 for around $30 bucks & 100 for $40 bucks but I also just found out that you can purchase off brand like walgreens brand or CVS brand.
