Description

The listing, Strawberry Pop Corn Seeds- 100 + has ended.

Up for bidding is 100 kernals of Strawberry popping corn. These are from my garden this year. I started these from corn I bought from a commercial supplier earlier this year. Will send instructions with the seeds.

~*~*~I have been told that I am supposed to say in my description, that these are not retail packages of seeds. I own a greenhouse and purchase my seed in bulk packages. They come mostly in 1,000-10,000 seed packages from a commercial supplier. I can not use this amount of seed in all the differant varieties. So I repackage them in small plastic zippy bags and place a sticker on the outside of the bag with sowing and growing instructions. and list them here on Listia. Each packet has been hand counted and will contain ATLEAST the amount of seed won. 98% of the time there is more than that in the baggie. Several of the seeds I list are smaller than a dust particle and I can not count these. In these cases you will often find 3-5x the amount won. All seed auctions will now contain a photo of a seed baggies to show what it looks like. It will NOT be the actual packet you are bidding on. It is only a sample.

~*~*~Also, I package seeds very well, well enough that I often have to pay extra postage so they arrive safely to you. If what you receive looks crushed, it is only because that is the size of the seed.

~*~*~I ONLY ship to Listia verified addresses. I copy and paste what you have listed on Listia as an address. If it does not reach you...check your mailing info.

~*~*~If you have issues with ANY of this, DO NOT BID!!! I do this to earn credits to suppliment my income and purchase gifts. I do not have the extra money to spend on reshipping items, nor do I like giving credits back because someone does not or can not read the description and expects something differant than what is listed.

These are the rules, guidelines and other *^%&$&$%& that I am forced to have to explain because some people cant read or ask questions BEFORE BIDDING.

LOL it is not just a guy thing. BELIEVE ME...I know of many many women who dont have a clue about gardening. Now..about the strawberry popcorn plant. It is a corn plant. It grows like corn, but produces popcorn. The popcorn looks like a strawberry. And is red in color. Once you have grown the plant and harvested the cobs, you will let them dry out for a while the rub the kernals off the cob...and pop them as you would regular popcorn. The inside will be white, and the hulls will be red. I am trying to locate some blue pocorn. I plan on mixing all three varities and will be listing that as well. Patriotic -red, white and blue popcorn. I think it will be very cool. So if you have any more questions or have an idea on a group of seeds that you would like to get for your wife, i can do a buy it now for a group of seeds. I have a list that i can send you of the ones i have available. Your movie will go out on thursday with DC#. Have an amazing day, Christine

I don't think you need a disclaimer (about your packing procedure) for giving away seeds on Listia, but that is nice of you to explain. I also have tried these at a garden seminar that I attended. You don't even have to take these off the cob to use. You can dry them right on the cob. The whole little cob can go into a brown sandwich bag in the microwave on popcorn setting. Just watch carefully & pull out when they slow down popping. Awesome for children! F&W

Awesome...thanks for the info. I was told by a few people including a listia mod, that i need to be more specific on where my seeds come from and such...so I am...every few auctions, I add it in there...I would rather be able to describe more about the plant itself but...not enough room to do both...lol.

I prefer to know that you are getting them from a commercial source. Then I KNOW they are true to seed and harvested correctly. Many other sellers on here do not know what they have, grow varieties too close together, or do not know how to correctly save seeds so they are viable. Thank you for sharing these treasures with us!
