I'm in scouts and I never heard of this pin. I've also been doing research and can't find anything on it. How do you know it's a service pin? Do you also know the year?

It may be YMCA Years of Service. But it could be something else, you're right. He was
a Pastor, a Y Leader, as well as a Boy Scout Leader for many years. He may have worked in the private sector as well.

That my friend, is the symbol 'Fleur de lis'. It doesn't represent Scouting, but is a worldwide symbol. If it was scouting resemblent, it would have the Fleur de lis with a eagle. So I don't really think this is scouting related. Just my guess though
