Questions & Comments
I'm in scouts and I never heard of this pin. I've also been doing research and can't find anything on it. How do you know it's a service pin? Do you also know the year?
Sorry you can't find it. It is what it says, LeBlond, YEARS 5 SERVICE at the top. In a box,, small, labelled, Gordon B. Miller & Co. Emblem Manufacturers, Cincinnati, on the back of the box, James McMullen, PIN 5 YR., July 6, 1953
Thanks for the info, that does help. Yet, how do you know that it is a Boy Scouts pin? Does the pin say it? I don't mean to bother you with these questions, I'm just curious, thats all
It may be YMCA Years of Service. But it could be something else, you're right. He was a Pastor, a Y Leader, as well as a Boy Scout Leader for many years. He may have worked in the private sector as well.
That my friend, is the symbol 'Fleur de lis'. It doesn't represent Scouting, but is a worldwide symbol. If it was scouting resemblent, it would have the Fleur de lis with a eagle. So I don't really think this is scouting related. Just my guess though
