These are jewelry grade and cut genuine rubies from Sri Lanka. They are NOT red like the Burmese or Kenyan variety of red rubies you usually see. They are a purple/brown/lavendar color but hold the same composite as any other ruby. These are cut small. 1/8 - 1/16th, with a few being 3/16ths in size. Most are princess cut or ovals. I purchased these for earring making, but never finished my setting design. Now it's time to downsize.....so my laziness can be your gain.
