no one really knows what they were used for. some say playing marbles (for lack of a better word) some say they were used for cooking, the last time I auctioned some of these the winner gave a totally different explanation of what they were used for. even the experts don't know for sure and can only speculate. I have some that are ground stone like the ones above and baked clay in a couple different sizes. these came off a private ranch in Utah where hundreds of them were found and a fair amount of pottery shards also.
