Thank you trouble429, and welcome to the world of sewing! I may not look 50 but i am (baby face 50 lol) and i have been sewing since i was about 5 or 6 years old so thats about 45 years now, my mother and grandmother started me out on embrodering on pillow cases and i have been sewing ever since! I dont sew much clothes as i use too, but i have mastered the art of sewing fancy bed canopys, comfortors, draperys and window treatments, tablecloths, pillows etc. Oh and i mastered my first wedding gown i designed myself, which came out beautifull, it only cost 180.00 to make, i may do another one in the future. I have thought of saleing my first wedding gown design/pattern. SO...Keep at it and maybe in the future if you wanted to you would be able to make a good living at sewing or even teaching others how to sew!

I love this auction! I needed zippers, and I'd rather try to get them this way than buy them, LOL! I do a lot of sewing myself. I make med-evil garb for myself, husband and kids. I can do shirts, pants, dresses, and my own personal favorite, cloaks. I love to sew, find it quite relaxing. I actually just finished a Halloween costume for my 4 year old daughter, Alice in Wonderland. I love to hear that there are still some of us out there who enjoy the art of sewing, we are a dieing breed I'm afraid. Keep it up!

Thank you and Yes Rachel, theres not very many women sewing or master seamstress's left aroung, my mother is a master seamstress also and she is 78 years old and still sewing! It thrills my heart to see younger women sewing or learing to sew, sewing your own has always been a great way to save money and also own something no one else can buy in a store and somthing you show pride in!
