I am not sure, but I know it is 14k.....maybe the 10K means the back or post?....I just wanted to list it as I never wore it and always look for "marks" on anything I list so that I can give the most honest description. Hope that helps you! Happy bidding and great question! :)

10k and 14k usually means pcs is made from 2 pcs of gold and soldered together. Usually the side marked is the k it is. On this it looks like the ear is 14k and the main is 10k.As for scrap value buyers always only pay to the lowest Karat for whole pc. I work with Gold and silver just trying to help.
