I need this date but how exactly do you know it is 1876 if you can't read the date due to wear?

You can just make out the 76 and you have to know that it can only be an 18. If you look close at the blown up picture you can see this. Hope this helps and good luck.

OK and the next grade is higher and so on. I got the price from an internet price guide. At any rate this is still a filler coin.
