Monty Kip Sopp, born 11-11-1963, is an American pro wrestler better known by his ring name Billy Gunn and for his appearances in WWF/WWE from 1993 to 2004. He used the name Kip James in TNA, from 2005 to 2009. He is currently signed to WWE, working as a trainer in its developmental territory NXT Wrestling.
Primarily a tag team wrestler, Gunn formed WWF/E World Tag Team Championship-winning teams with Bart Gunn (The Smokin' Gunns), Road Dogg (the New Age Outlaws) and Chuck (Billy and Chuck), amassing a total of 10 reigns. He is also a former WWF Intercontinental Champion, 2 time WWF Hardcore Champion, and the 1999 King of the Ring.
Sopp made his TNA debut on 2-13-2005. Kip James' profile was removed from the TNA website on December 29, 2009, confirming his departure from the promotion.
