Yes charger has a usb type. No problems with it at all, I tried it out but have a color, son gave it to me, so I am trying to get some points built up here. Good luck.Laura

I had a Kindle & read it & used it so much, it finally died last yr. I'm still having eReader withdrawls - eReaders (Nook, etc) - are good for anyone who likes to read. I'm still watching.
