1976 Winter Olympic Games in Innsbruk, Austria had a mascot named Schneemann (means snowman in German.)

He was THE FIRST Winter Games mascot. Schneemann wore a red Tyrolean hat typical of the region. Schneemann is also considered a lucky charm.
