Hi, ashleymcole5! I did use these (just once) on my 90 lb. Yellow Lab- but it was just too stressful for me. She has black nails and you can't see through them...I'm so paranoid that I'll hit/cut the quick and she'll bleed to death, lol! So to answer your question- no, they are not brand new, but they should be good and sharp since used just once and otherwise in great condition :).

kool my dog has black nails too i use to send her to the groomers but cant afford it right.so i got do it myself.
