Toilet Handle Light

These handy "Flush Lights" should be standard equipment. There is a built-in red "night light", which brightens just enough so you can "see to pee" when you touch the handle. It dims again later, automatically. A quick hand wash in the semi-darkness and you are back to bed, and more importantly, back to sleep, because you didn't have to turn on the bathroom light.

The Flush Light runs on one 9V battery, which is included. The unit easily replaces your old handle, or your money back. I timed it, installed mine in less than 10 minutes, including hunting down an adjustable wrench, fussing around with the nut until I read the instructions (Toilet flush handles always have left-handed threads! Who knew?) - And then my old chain had broken years ago, and was tied on with a twist tie from a bread sack, which I just untied and then tied to the new handle. Perfect! And I am no handyman! You can ask my wife. Because I accomplished this I will strut around like I'm Tim the Toolman for several days.
The toilet seat in the picture is mine, my camera doesn't do low light very well, the light provides plenty of bowl illumination. Now if your spouse has installed one of those furry things on the lid, the seat might block a little, even then you should be, uh, good to go.
PLEASE NOTE: If your flush handle is mounted on the SIDE of the tank, you have a newfangled toilet and this won't work for you as designed. Also, the included 9V battery may or may not have any juice left.

RE: Is it all plastic: I couldn't tell by looking at it, and had replaced the toilet I had one in with one of those wonderful oversize gallon-and-a-half Kohler toilets, which is a newfangled, or at least differently fangled, toilet.

So I got a magnet and it stuck to the packaging where the lever is thickest, but not farther down. I can't tell if this is because the lever has more mass there and is touching the cardboard, I think the rest of the arm is also metal, it appears to be sturdy, and I had one installed for about a year before the great plumbing purge of 2010, it was fine.
