The listing, 1878 cow bell has ended.

You are not going to believe this. I was 4 wheeling it the forest when I found a wagon train. Yes covered wagons I will post more pics of this I didn't have my camera with me. Any way I picked up this bell and I will be going back to get everything I can and post most of it on Listia. This bell is made of brass it is from Chiantel Fondeu it has a cross on it flowers and other things the year 1878 and Saignelecier the thing that makes it ring is missing and so is the attachment thing on the top but it is beautiful. I am charging half the shipping charges I will pay the other half.

it looks like an old ermagcery bell cow bells are square but its a good old bell but I wouldn't be able to afford the shipping

It was made in 1878. They checked the brass mixture it is white and yellow brass . The steel on the top was not pored steel it was hammered together and that's how they found out what year it was made. It is so cool the way they do things. I have a lot more stuff being tested all from the same site. I bought the property so every thing on it is mine. I have found so much some will go to our museum so on Listia and so on.

I just sold that bell about week ago on listia,, it was made as reproduction in the early 1970's...can be found on ebay for $10.00,,, good luck
