The town where I live is a big textile town; Hanes, Burlington Industries, companies like that. Most of the socks you see in major retail stores in the south are produced here (they sell to Nike, Reebok, all kinds of retailers). Hanes has a huge local close out sale once a yr. They get rid of over production or cancelled orders. I've got several friends who work in different sock mills here (They get them at cost). I got these for a friend in AZ but just never gave them to her. I'm curious though why you asked. It isn't a big deal, curiosity never killed any cat I know, hehehe!

Aaaww!! You're so cute!! It's a big possibility that a company ordered them, they were made then the company cancelled the order. The mills have that happen too. Sometimes they produce samples for certain companies too and the companies only order certain kinds. Who knows, you could win them and they could be one of a kind!! How cool would that be???!!!

Hey Jettloff,it looks like we are battling for these awesome socks.The bid is for 1 pr and there are 2 pair so maybe the seller will list the 2nd pr or make a deal if the bid goes to a certain amount.Ive won several of this sellers auctions and everything is new so wherever it ends it will be worth it.I can only bid so many.Hope she doesnt set the bids too high for both pair.Good luck!!
