Hello hsabooks,

In order to have better results with this auction, please add more details regarding your item. Your auction is missing a description or picture. These two things will go a long way in instilling confidence in potential bidders. We also highly recommend that you include pictures of the actual item that is being auctioned, (not just use stock photos from the manufacturer). For higher valued items, please include a notecard or piece of paper with your Listia username in one of the pictures of the actual item. This will also reduce the number of questions that your bidders will ask, and most importantly, you`ll get the best results with your auction.

Thanks for making these changes and good luck with your auction!

Moderator, we have answered this standard form note several times from different ones of you, but here is our answer for you: First, PLEASE tell us exactly what you would like for us to put in the descriptions that we have listed. Our bidders are happy with our descriptions....we rarely get any questions from them about a listing. So tell me, Moderator, what do we need to add to our descriptions of this auction? And this picture thing is absolutely out of line and should be curtailed by Listia; I know that you probably have had some one trying for a flag badge complain because of no picture. I can assure you that my repeat bidders (and there are several) will tell you in terms anyone can understand that they would rather have more auctions posted with good descriptions than to have fewer auctions posted with pictures. And your note about the pictures needing to be of the actual item, don't get me started there! Why don't you take a serious look at ALL the pictures on Listia and see just how many are of The Actual Item!!!??? I can understand the need for pictures for unusual items, and IF we ever start posting the many trash/treasures that are stacked up in our garages I can assure you pictures of The Actual Item will be posted. And I don't want to sound any more conceited than I am, but frankly, Moderator, if I got any more results from my auctions I would not be able to handle it. I have been trying for weeks to get my posted auctions back up to over 100 and at the moment have only 44! Posted a couple tonight, but I should have been wrapping packages to be mailed. Instead, I am answering another form note from a moderator that has been answered to the point that this one is being copied and will be used as MY form note back to the next moderator.

Hi, I saw your reply to the other Moderator and just want to clarify that it is likely your auction's are being flagged because of their being no picture. As moderators we are required to act when an auction is flagged. The comment was left merely to ensure that you (as a seller) get the most out of your auction(s), certainly not to offend. We understand that not everyone can (or needs to add a picture), nor do we require one, however some users feel pictures greatly help them know exactly what it is they are bidding on. This is the reason we request them, so that you, as a seller, get the most credits for your item(s)! Thanks for your understanding and best of luck with all your listings! :)

At last!!!! An answer to my answer to the moderators' canned messages! I appreciate your taking the time to answer and I assure you that when (if) I start posting some of the "tons" of treasure/trash in my garages I will drag out the camera and post pictures of The Item being offered. I am a semi-professional photographer and can easily do the job....it just seems useless where the books are concerned when I can't find the time to post all the auctions I want to post. Again, thanks for the answer and I may "store" my canned reply to future canned messages from Listia moderators!
