The listing, iPhone 3g 16GB AT&T Clear IMEI has ended.

Here we have a 16GB iPhone 3g. This phone isn't the prettiest iPhone in the world, but it works. It is an AT&T Phone, and I have checked with AT&T customer service, it has a good IMEI associated with it, so one should be able to activate it on AT&T. It is not, however, unlocked for other carriers. If you don't want to use it as a phone, it can also be used as an iPod Touch over WiFi. The charger port is good, phone took a good fast charge last Monday, and with WiFi running still has some juice left today. WiFi and camera are operational as well. The phone connects to iTunes easily, and has been restored to factory settings and fully updated. The front has only minor scratches, the back is a mess, and currently has a "Monster" sticker (or part of one) on it. There is also cracking at the top of the back, by the ear bud plug....but the port works fine. Budget iPhone here...low stating bid...you name the price!!!

while it is illegal for YOU to unlock your iPhone...AT&T CAN unlock it for you... if youre their customer they will do it, too, l am told.

FYI mdesgator & kyforddude there is also the carrier lock, which the supposedly the original owner only can get the unlock code. This allows it to be used with other GSM carriers not only in the U.S., but worldwide. Anyone can play the role (and be nice on the phone with AT&T) to request it, you can also pay about $10 to different websites for them to get the code for you.

Honestly though, and someone can correct me here, but carrier locks don't technically apply to iPhones it's just a matter of jailbreaking the phone. This is why T-Mobile had such a massive conversion of AT&T iPhone customers. Like I said if anyone has more info on carrier locks as they apply to iPhone feel free to chime in.

AT&T will not unlock it for just Anyone!
It has to be done by the person who has the account locked

the phone doesnt have a lock for being lost or stolen. The phone is locked so that you can only use it on AT&T. You can't just put another company's SIM card in it and use their service like other GSM phones. As l stated...AT&T verified to me it is not BLACKLISTED which is what you are talking about.

will you unlock the phone prior to shipping???...it has to be done by the person that has the service on it with AT&T. If AT&T does not unlock it (for non-payment or stolen) it is completely useless as a phone

No clue...this iPhone and the iPhone 4 I used for 18 months just had the app on there. You might have to restore the phone in iTunes if it got deleted somehow. Thanks for Bidding!
