Goldberger doll company makes these dolls as a first doll for your child. I would not recommend giving this doll to your child under 3. The heart when pressed, first glows red and then changes to different colors, ending with blue. This feature is very cute and a nice way to fall asleep with a soft light, however, the heart is attached to a short string and I thought that my children would be able to pull the string off, therefore having a button battery operated heart about the size of a nectarine. There have been no recalls on this product, this is just my opinion as a parent. Otherwise, this is a nice doll to add to an older child's collection.
