I Am not sure what explorer is... the ones in this auction are for the leap pad plus writing and the regular leap pad.

We have Leappad 2 the carriages all say Explorer on them.

Just went and looked at mine, they are all from 2003-2004... I do know that the regular leappad cartridges fit the writing plus so its possible that they will fit yours as well.I would google search and see before you bid =) Does Leappad explorer take original leappad cartridges... or something similar =) Good Luck =)
