Description

The listing, Digital Galaxy DG-973 DIY LED Projector as-is has ended.

So I have a project that Id like to pass on. it is a digital galaxy LCD home theater projector that has a bad ballast to power its own light source, the good news is that this type of projector does not have a sensor to shut down the projector in the event that a bulb goes bad, which means you can use an alternate light source to run though it and it will still work as a normal projector to play games, movies and hook your computer up to.

I'm giving this away as a parts unit for somebody to tinker with. you can see in the pictures the setup that it runs off of (the projector, computer power supply and an LED bulb) which is wired to the 12v power supply, however it is not bright enough in a pitch dark room.SEE PICS.

if you can wire a high power led with a heatsink and led driver to power the bulb it would be perfect I however do not have the funds to keep this project going, so that is why its being auctioned off, because it needs modification it is sold AS-IS with no refunds implied.
this would be great for someone who likes to experiment with electronics.
google led projector mod you will come up with info to modify this project with.

I'll include the led bulb but the PSU is not for sale

shipping is at $20 flat rate for its size and fragility.

please do your research and read before bidding
All auctions are sold AS-IS with all faults and described as best as possible to my knowledge, no refunds are implied unless otherwise stated.

no refunds for accidentally bidding or if you cannot pay shipping. paypal is not accepted only postal money orders or concealed cash. if you misread the details i will not refund credits. i ship my items within a weeks time at the most after getting the shipping payment.

good luck and thanks for looking

Sorry but the power supply is for my own use, plus it would be quite a lot more to ship if I included it. Thanks for looking.

Original ballast is still in there, it's part of it's power supply. If you look at the picture of it open, you will see it toward the input area. I do not have the original lamp.

@bobjenkins, I got that backwards, the ballast is the rectangular shaped grey box inside, opposite the inputs.(upper right corner of the open photo) please check the pics. I think I may have the assembly that holds the bulb.Ill look for it, it is just the bracket with the lead and ground wires attached though,

Please no posting of other auctions here. It's rude. I don't bash others auctions, so please respect mine.
