Got this ring from my boss. He found it in his desk at work while cleaning out his desk. He thinks it belonged to an ex of his. Im not sure if this ring is silver, or if it is steel, or aluminum, im not sure. There seems to be some sort of inscription that has worn away on the inside of the ring.Ring seems tarnished but may just need a cleaning.
It has 4 purple stripes on top of the ring not sure if just paint, or if it is some precious stone of some kind.

UPDATE: Ring appears to be a tight 9 a perfect 9 1/2.
