This regal and sophisticated, silver plated Champagne/Wine table caddy may NOT be antique, but its mfg is. I used antique as my category because the audience is wider, and usually more appreciative. Towle Silversmiths have an old American heritage dating back to mid 1800's. I searched for this piece and couldn't find anything on it. It is definitely silver plated, because it says so on the bottom. The makers mark is not "carved" into the metal, but appears to be a holographic etching of some sort. It was badly tarnished when my husband pulled it out of our wine cabinet and It polished up nice, but I didn't scrub it too hard, just wanted to show the pattern. It appears a very close pattern match to Towles' "Old Master" flatware design. No guarantees. The cork insert has never been used and in pristine condition. Love it, or I'll keep it!
